Editorials Blog Index | SocioSphere™ | MarkFoster.NETwork™ Here is Jack Cafferty's response to a message I sent him. (The message is at the end.) Bill Hemmer was harassing (teasing?) Jack about paying for certain things connected with his daughter. Finally, Jack said something to the effect that after "a short-timer like yourself" leaves, the rest of us will have to deal with everything. (Hemmer will likely leave CNN's American Morning.) Here is the dialogue:
From: "Cafferty, Jack" Jack, I think that Hemmer was trying to trap you to saying something online about his difficulties with CNN. I wish you wouldn't have fallen for it.

"And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, even the lake of fire"
-- Rev. 20:14.
If death and Hades (hell) are cast into the lake of fire, then how can the lake of fire be Hell? Even separation from God will be purified by fire.
Also:
"Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence? I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou art there."
-- Psalms 139:7-8
If we are in Hell, that does not indicate that God has left us. In fact, we are all in both Heaven and Hell. They are relative conditions.
Sent to CNN's American Morning:
I remember when the World Trade Center was being constructed. I, like a lot of people, hated it. The Twin Towers were the butt of a lot of jokes.
Now, however, the situation has changed. I am a native New Yorker, and they knocked those buildings, ugly as they may have been, down. I say, rebuild them.
From Dr. Susan Maneck (posted on talk.religion.bahai):
Baha'u'llah said creatures *khalq* not life. I suppose you are aware that Allah created the stars and planets and everything on them?
I'm arguing that khalq certainly includes rocks.
I don't really expect the Guardian to be that literal in his translations anyhow. In the Tablet of Ahmad he translates the word for 'dove' as 'nightingale.' The term 'khalq' can refer to any created thing, but even if He meant living creatures it would still be silly to take His words that literally.
