As I have suggested many times, there is no such thing as "the Bible." When the Bible is treated as a unitary document, rather than as a collection of texts by different writers, misunderstanding begins.

All constructions of "scripture" are fictive, since "scripture" itself is a historical construction. Anytime you compile texts written by diverse people and treat it as a unified document, any deductions made from it are fictive.
