Paltalk Chat
How to Block Paltalk Ads/Adverts

If you have a Basic membership (black nic) on the Paltalk chat system, and you would like to eliminate popup ads and embedded ads, the most effective remedy is to purchase a Plus (blue nic), an x-Treme (green nic), or a VIP (purple nic) membership. Any one of these can enhance your enjoyment of Paltalk.

Should you not wish to pay the upgrade fee (much less costly if remitted on an annual basis), you may follow the instructions provided below (with kudos to one or more others). Although you will no longer receive popups, and the majority of embedded ads will be blocked, you will still occasionally see an embedded ad promoting Paltalk. (Aside from the below instructions, many popup killers which work with Internet Explorer will also work with Paltalk.)

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. From the Tools menu, click on Internet Options.
  3. Click on the Security tab.
  4. Click on the Restricted Sites icon.
  5. Click on the Sites button.
  6. In the box titled, Add this website to the zone, type in:
    advertising.paltalk.com
    (Do not add the www.)
  7. Click on the Add button.
  8. Click on Close.
  9. Then click on OK.
