Studies in Divorce and Baptism [from Paltalk]

i am sending this as per your request. God is interested in forgiveness and reconciliation. he did it for you, or will, and he expects it from you. god said, he will forgive AS you forgive. if you no forgive, he no forgive. is it worth missing heaven because someone hurt you? if it is a danger situation, get out of the house. but no divorce. write me and comment. this is a forwarded bible study. if you believe the kjv of the bible then you can test these verses. i do not play, and neither does the bible.

i talked with you about divorce. this is the study i told you about. it will be quick and blunt. but it is bible. see for yourself if it is right. i believe  salvation could be at stake, so move slowly.

DIVORCE matthew 5:32 whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced commits adultery.

1- whoever puts away his wife causes her to commit adultery [man is guilty]

2- save for the cause of fornication [man not guilty].

3- whoever shall marry her that is divorced commits adultery [sex with a divorced person is adultery]. mark 10:5-12 verse 11- jesus said, whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, commits adultery against her [man commits adultery with other woman]. verse 12- and if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she commits adultery [self explanatory].

when a jew gets married , he betroths a wife. this betrothal is the same as our engagement. it is a time of preparation for the groom by preparing a place for his wife to live, and the preparations of the bride, preparing herself to receive the groom. it is considered to be already married but not consummated [as in the doctrine of the rapture, we are the bride, preparing to be received by the groom]. during the time of betrothal, if a wife commits fornication, she is subject to divorce [deuteronomy 22:13-30], because she broke the betrothal. at the time of consummation, if a man finds her to be not a virgin, or if she is caught in the act before the consummation, the man can divorce his wife. after the marriage is consummated, and he accepts her, there can be no more fornication grounds for divorce.

the only grounds for divorce are if a woman has sex before her marriage. having sex [or adulterous relationship] into the marriage is grievous, but not grounds for divorce because you have become one flesh in the sight of god through his act of creation, making you to cleave [sex] and become one in spirit. matthew 19:3-9

- jesus said, have ye not read, that he that made them at the beginning, made them male and female. and he said, for this cause [the cause of creation] shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they two shall be one flesh? wherefore they are no more two, but one flesh. what therefore god has joined together, let no man put asunder. [cleave to his wife, consummate the marriage. two people become one in the eyes of god because of the cause of creation. flesh is joined at consummation , one flesh and one in spirit. what god has created, let no man put asunder. 1 cor. 7:12-16-

you can not leave a spouse on the grounds of their unbelief. but if they leave you because of your belief, that is ok, you are not bound to an unbeliever. a backslider is still considered a believer but has hardened his heart in sin. god will deal with his own in his own way. if he repents, god will restore him, and he is in right standing with god, and those around him will restore him too. also add 1 cor. 7:27 to this.

1 cor. 7:39- the wife is bound by the law [the only law that passed away was the ceremonial law, jesus replaced it at calvary] as long as her husband lives; but if her husband is dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she desires, but only to a believer. fornication- the physical act of having sex outside of marriage.

adultery- being unfaithful to the marriage. 1 cor. 7:10- and unto the married i command, yet not i, but the lord, let not the wife depart from her husband: [remember, i asked who filed?] but if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. [self explanatory].

bottom line is this. you must be faithful to god by obeying his commandment of forgiveness AND reconciliation. the bible shows that forgiveness and reconciliation go hand in hand. the bible says that we are forgiven AS we forgive. this means that we are judged as we judge. if you say you forgive but are unwilling to be reconciled, you really have not forgiven. for this reason alone, your salvation is on the line. may the lord jesus bless you with clean hands on this matter , and a heart to seek after the lord jesus in all of your ways, amen. thank you for reading this lengthy material,

`pope as being acceptable. it shows who changed the water baptism and when.

- the principle of precedence, if a verse is established by another verse stating the same

thought or principle or doctrine or belief, then a precedence has been set and established.

any doctrine or principle that has been established must not contradict any other doctrine

or principle. no verse can stand alone. all verses must be interpreted by at least one other

verse to allow the 'law of two or three witnesses to come into effect. [matt 18:16,2 cor 13:1]

 - the argument from silence, [an ommission does not constitute a denial]example, if a man is

at a public speaking engagement with his two daughters and he introduces them as his children,

this does not mean he does not have a son. to conclude that he does not have a son because he

was not mentioned is an 'argument from silence'. in truth, the ommission only meant that he, for

whatever reasons, did not consider it expedient to mention the son. an 'argument from silence'

 is never valid.

 the doctrine of the apostles

the new birth was accomplished by the apostles by obeying the gospel of jesus christ [1 cor 15]

which is death, burial, and ressurection. death is the dieing away of ourselves [repentance]

and burial is the burying of the old man that has died in water baptism in the NAME OF JESUS

[rom 6:4-6] for the remission of sins [acts 2:38], and ressurection is the ressurection of the

new man by recieving the gift of the holy ghost [rom 8:9, 1 cor 12:3]. in john 3:5, jesus gave

the command of the new birth and in 1 thess 1:8 it is said that if a person does NOT obey the

gospel, then they are sent to the lake of fire [paraphrased]

. the commamd-John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of

water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

 OBJECTIONS

 - the thief was not baptized

..the thief was not in the new covenant dispensation

 - jesus commanded water baptism in father, son and holy ghost, and i would rather obey jesus

 than the apostles.

.. in matthew, to be consistant with the bible and have no contradictions, it must be noted

that jesus was commanding the baptism in a NAME.

.. father is not a name, son is not a name, holy ghost is not a name

.. in luke, jesus opened their understanding so the apostles really understood exactly what he

 meant

.. the apostles and others wrote the books of the bible, to say you believe the words of jesus

'over' the words of the apostles is foolish.

 - in the water baptism of jesus only, the father and holy ghost are left out

..he that has the son, has the father also [1 John 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same

hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. [also, 1 john 5:12]

.. John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not

the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him

..col 3:17 says to do ALL THINGS in the name of jesus

 - it does not say 'water' in acts, concerning the baptism

..it is implied, water is for drinking [recieving the spirit, inside] and for washing [water

baptism, outside]1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body,

whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink

 into one Spirit.

 - in the name of, means, in the authority of

..no, it says to 'call' upon the name, this in an invoking [speaking the name]

..being washed, is an implied water baptism

 - in other places it says i only must believe

..the epistles were written to believers, the new birth has no examples to them, it would be

redundant to tell a believer that he had to be born again.

..in acts 10:43 it said that if a person belived, they would recieve remission of sins. the

precedence has been set that remission of sins comes from water baptism [acts 2:38].

..in acts 19:4 it says to believe on jesus, and the very next verse shows 'how' to believe.

 - in eph 5:26, it says that we are cleansed by the washing of the water by the word, this means

that when we hear preaching we are cleansed by the spirit.

..the word used in that verse does not mean logos, it means rhema , which is interpreted as

'command'. we are made clean by the washing of the water by the 'command', and that command

is water baptism in the name of jesus [acts 22:16]

 - water baptism does not save, and is not required as a part of salvation

..in 1 peter 3:20-21 it shows how the water during the time of noah was used to save the

'chosen' and to destroy the others. baptism is here compared to the ark in which noah and

his family were saved by water when the rest were destroyed by it. in baptism we again have

saving water. the water in this verse is in answer to a good conscience toward god. an inner

cleansing is again linked to an outer act. the washing of the filth of the body is a bath.

..the actual water is symbolic of burial, it is the NAME of jesus that does the work of

remission of sins. the power is not in the water but in the name [acts 4:12]
